New Mickey Guyton Single: "Scary Love"

It's release day for Mickey Guyton's latest single, Scary Love! We've been looking forward to this one coming out ever since we wrote it last year!

I wrote this one with the same dream team of songwriters that was behind What Are You Gonna Tell Her: Emma-lee, producer Karen Kosowski, and Mickey herself. It was our first time getting back together to write with Emma-lee after she took some time off to have her first baby. Mickey's first child Grayson was a toddler, and my girls were in elementary school and pre-K. 

Here's how the idea came to be...

Me: "So, Emma-lee, how does motherhood feel?"

Emma-lee: "It's so intense! I keep waking up to make sure my daughter is breathing in the night!". 

Mickey: "Isn't it crazy how your whole world revolves around them? I never got how much my mom loved me until I became a mom myself." 

Me: "Yeah, it's a scary love!" 

Everybody:  "WOH!!! LET'S WRITE THAT!!"
