Sister Sadie releases "Mississippi River Long"

The all-female bluegrass band Sister Sadie released “Mississippi River Long” this week - a song that I wrote 15 years ago (!) with Rachel Proctor and band member Dani Flowers.

Originally recorded for Dani’s solo record, which was shelved prior to release, the song has had a long history of being pitched to different artists but has never found a home until now.

Thanks, Dani, for continuing to believe in this song over the years. CLICK HERE to check out Sister Sadie’s “Mississippi River Long”!

If you’re interested in hearing the guitar/vocal recording of me singing this song on the day it was written, as well as a couple of demo versions that were recorded in the studio over the years, you can check them out on my Ko-fi club page where you can pledge a cup of coffee in return for access to an ever-growing pile of unreleased songs!
